Increased collaboration with Race Team Lenz.
Bohnenkamp AG, the exclusive importer for Windpower truck tyres, and the Lenz Race Team, whose drivers are Heinz-Werner and Sascha Lenz, have agreed to further expand their partnership for the current truck racing season. The collaboration includes various promotional activities, special offers and events over the course of the current race series. "The objective of our involvement in truck racing is to further increase awareness of the Windpower brand. Truck-Race is particularly well suited for this, as the race series enjoys mass appeal not only in Germany, but is also attracting a great deal of interest in other European countries where we distribute the Windpower tyre range," commented Henrik Schmudde, Head of Marketing for the Bohnenkamp and Windpower involvement. He further added: "Following on from our first experience last year, we made a conscious decision to go with Lenz. Lenz is a good match for us and for Windpower owing to their high level of professionalism and likeability."
The most obvious indication of this collaboration will be the "Windpower" logo on the front windscreen of the Lenz racing truck. In addition to this, the Osnabrück company will be organising product presentations and various other customer events at the race tracks, as well as maintaining a presence at trade shows such as "Reifen" in Essen. Of course, autograph signings with the three-time European champion and "King of the Ring", Heinz-Werner Lenz from Plaidt near the Rhine and his son Sascha Lenz, who is also a driver on the racing team, are also part of the agenda that reached its climax at the 2012 Truck Grand Prix held between the 13th and 15th of July at the Nürburgring.
