Regrooving capability
The special rubber compound makes many of our tyre treads regroovable. On the one hand, this makes the tyres extremely economical and, on the other, particularly environmentally friendly. The tyres can be driven longer and have a more even tread due to the regrooving capability. This in turn leads to less rolling resistance and consequently less fuel consumption.
Retreadable

The tyres are manufactured in one of the most modern retreading plants in northern Germany. In recent years, we have already reduced energy consumption in tyre production by 25 percent, thanks, among other things, to the complete re-usage of waste water and steam by means of energy and heat recovery in accordance with the "Waste Water/ Zero Emission" concept.
In everyday use, the newly designed Windpower tread patterns reduce rolling resistance and fuel consumption. And because Windpower tyres can be retreaded, this second life means that they can be in service for a particularly long time. All of this noticeably reduces the impact on the environment. Windpower is certified in accordance with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals). The European REACH regulation prohibits the use of chemicals whose effects on humans and the environment are not known or not yet sufficiently known. The production of Windpower tyres - not only for the European market, but for the entire global market - has been carried out since 2010 in accordance with these guidelines.
